With the addition of Nils Lofgren on second guitar and piano, keyboardist Jack Nitzsche, bassist Greg Reeves along with drummer Ralph Molina, After The Gold Rush, produced by David Briggs, was the audio promise from an artist now in command of his gifts. Released on August 31, 1970, the album was recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, Sound City in Van Nuys, and in Topanga at Redwood Studios.
