In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Frank Ferrer, the long-serving drummer of Guns N’ Roses, opened up about his unexpected exit from the band after 19 years. His departure, which took place in March 2025, came as a surprise to many fans, but Ferrer emphasized that it was simply time for a change.
“Everything comes to an end,” Ferrer stated, acknowledging that he had always understood this moment would eventually arrive. He reassured fans that there was no drama behind his exit, saying, “We didn’t get into a fight or anything like that.” Instead, he expressed gratitude for the experiences and memories he gained during his time with the legendary rock outfit.
Ferrer, who played his last show with Guns N’ Roses on November 5, 2023, in Mexico, confirmed that he has seen footage of his replacement, Isaac Carpenter, and praised his skills. “He’s a great drummer,” Ferrer noted, highlighting the positive energy between Carpenter and the band’s members.
As Ferrer embarks on new musical endeavors, he remains optimistic about the future, stating, “I’m sure that one day Axl and I will hook up, hang out and maybe play together, maybe not.” With no animosity between him and the band, Ferrer is ready to embrace the next chapter of his career.
