In a shocking turn of events, former ACCEPT bassist Peter Baltes has been hospitalized following a serious fall from the stage during DIRKSCHNEIDER’s concert on July 25 at Pyraser Classic Rock Night in Pyras, Germany. Reports indicate that Baltes suffered three rib fractures during the incident.
DIRKSCHNEIDER, fronted by ex-ACCEPT vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, addressed the situation via social media, expressing their concern for Baltes and wishing him a speedy recovery. The statement also noted that guitarist Alen Brentini sustained several injuries but is in stable condition and able to continue performing.
Despite this unfortunate incident, DIRKSCHNEIDER plans to carry on with their scheduled shows. The band has promised to provide updates as more information becomes available.
Peter Baltes, who left ACCEPT in 2018 after over three decades with the band, has been playing with U.D.O. since late 2022. His commitment to enjoying life and music remains evident, even in challenging times like these.
