Lita Ford, the iconic hard rock queen of the ’80s, is on the verge of releasing her long-awaited new studio album. In a recent interview with Scott Davidson on Chicago’s Rebel Radio, Ford shared that she is currently finalizing the necessary paperwork and is hopeful for a September release.
The upcoming album serves as a follow-up to her 2012 effort, “Living Like A Runaway,” and features the talented guitarist and producer Gary Hoey, who also contributes his guitar skills to the project. Ford expressed her excitement, stating, “The touring is gonna pick up and everything is gonna be off the charts. So I’m excited. Fingers crossed.”
Ford’s songwriting process remains rooted in traditional methods, emphasizing the importance of capturing ideas as they come. She noted that while the music industry has changed dramatically over the years, her passion for creating rock music remains strong. “I’m just grateful that we’re still here, we’re still rocking, we still have our great fans. And they’re ready for some new rock and roll,” she said.
With collaborations featuring renowned artists like Doro Pesch and Jean Beauvoir, this album promises to deliver a powerful mix of rock anthems. As anticipation builds, fans are eager to experience what Ford describes as a concept record filled with compelling stories and unforgettable riffs.
