In an electrifying moment at the Göteborg Brinner festival on August 22nd, Dark Tranquillity welcomed In Flames’ frontman Anders Fridén to the stage for a heartfelt tribute to the late Tomas “Tompa” Lindberg, the legendary vocalist of At The Gates.

The collaboration took place during Dark Tranquillity’s closing set, where they performed a powerful cover of At The Gates’ iconic track, “Blinded By Fear,” originally released in 1995. This tribute not only celebrated Lindberg’s significant impact on the melodeath genre but also showcased the camaraderie among Swedish metal artists.

Fans in attendance were treated to an unforgettable performance that highlighted the enduring legacy of one of metal’s most influential figures. The tribute was captured on fan-filmed footage, which is now circulating online, allowing even those who missed the festival to experience the moment.
