NIGHTWISH fans, get ready for some exciting news! The Finnish symphonic metal band is gearing up to enter the studio in May 2027 to record their highly anticipated eleventh album. Tuomas Holopainen, the band’s keyboardist and main songwriter, shared that he has already penned seven songs for the new project.
In a recent interview, Holopainen expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Since the release of our last album, ‘Yesterwynde’, it’s been all about music for me. The break we’ve taken has been beneficial, allowing creativity to flow like never before.” He also mentioned that he is working on a solo album, with plans to release it next year.
While NIGHTWISH hasn’t performed live in over three years, Holopainen is optimistic about the future. He hinted at a possible return to the stage in 2027, coinciding with the band’s 30th anniversary. Fans can look forward to more details as the band continues to develop their new sound.
