In exciting news for rock fans, Zak Starkey is back behind the kit with The Who as they kick off rehearsals for their upcoming projects. The drummer confirmed his return via social media, expressing his enthusiasm with the message, “Looking forward to tearing it up with The Who again.”
Roger Daltrey, performing at the Encore Theater in Las Vegas, shared that the band had been rehearsing with Starkey and noted that it “sounded great.” This comes after a tumultuous period for Starkey, who experienced a rollercoaster of being fired and reinstated last year.
Having been part of The Who since 1996, Starkey’s journey has seen its ups and downs, but it seems the relationship is back on track. Daltrey and Pete Townshend hinted that the band may not be ready to retire just yet, despite their previous farewell tour.
