Upon A Burning Body Exits DevilDriver Tour Due to COVID-19

In a disappointing turn of events for fans, Texan groove metallers Upon A Burning Body have announced their withdrawal from the ongoing ‘Strike & Kill Tour’ with DevilDriver. The band revealed today, August 29th, that members of their camp have tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the decision to prioritize the health and safety of everyone involved.

In their statement, Upon A Burning Body expressed their regret, stating, “Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances and the safety of others, we will not be playing the remainder of the ‘Strike & Kill Tour.’ Some of our camp has tested positive for COVID and it just wouldn’t be right to continue putting everyone else at risk. We are sorry, and it hurts us to not be able to play these shows. We promise to make it up to everyone soon. Thank you for understanding.”

The tour, which features Ov Sulfur as the opening act, is set to continue through September 5th. Fans are left hoping for a swift recovery for the band and a chance to see them back on stage soon.
