Rikki Rockett Celebrates Over a Decade Cancer-Free

In a recent interview with Get On The Bus, Rikki Rockett, the iconic drummer of POISON, shared inspiring news about his health journey. It has been over 11 years since he was diagnosed with oral cancer, and he proudly announced that he has remained cancer-free since July 2016.

Rikki, whose real name is Richard Allan Ream, underwent extensive treatment, including 37 rounds of radiation and chemotherapy. Despite initial setbacks, he found hope through immunotherapy, which ultimately led to his recovery. “Within nine weeks, I was 90% cured,” Rockett recalled, emphasizing the importance of innovative treatments in fighting cancer.

He also highlighted the significance of awareness regarding HPV-related cancers, which are becoming increasingly common. Rikki’s story serves as a reminder of the importance of early detection and the advancements in cancer treatment.
