The Avalanches are back with a fresh new single, “Far Away,” featuring UK art-rapper John Glacier and Tunisian producer Khadija Al Hanafi. This track is part of their highly anticipated album, No Bad Memories, set for release on October 16.

With 25 tracks and an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Mike Patton and Carly Simon, this album promises to be a standout. The Avalanches have been teasing fans with singles like “Blue Shadows” and “Every Single Weekend,” and “Far Away” continues that trend with its moody dance vibe.

Robbie Chater of The Avalanches shares that working with Al Hanafi has been a creative revelation, stating, “Her knack for flipping a sample completely re-inspired me.” The song captures the essence of summer in London, evoking feelings of shared dreams and blissful moments.

To accompany the release, the band shot a video in Tokyo using a vintage 2001 Sony Handycam, adding a nostalgic touch to their latest offering. Fans can look forward to this exciting new chapter from The Avalanches.
