Bodywash Unveils New Album ‘Laughing At Noise’ with Single ‘Lapsang’

Canadian dream-pop duo Bodywash is making waves with the announcement of their upcoming album, Laughing At Noise, set to release on November 20, 2026. Following their captivating sophomore effort, I Held The Shape While I Could, the band is back with a new single titled ‘Lapsang.’

‘Lapsang’ pays homage to Montreal’s Little Italy, inspired by the years spent waiting for the bus in the neighborhood. Chris Steward, one half of Bodywash, shared that the song’s title comes from his favorite smoky tea, Lapsang Souchong. The creative process was sparked during an ice storm, leading to a unique blend of melodies recorded in the studio with Rosie Long Decter.

Fans can enjoy the exquisite sound of ‘Lapsang’ now, along with a music video directed by Evangelos Desborough. Bodywash will also be performing at several festivals, including SeptemberFest in Montreal on September 19 and the NOWADAYS Festival in Halifax on October 10.
