Burton C. Bell Moves On from Fear Factory’s New Single

In a recent interview with Pierre Gutiérrez of Rock Talks, former Fear Factory frontman Burton C. Bell made it clear that he has no interest in hearing the band’s latest single, “Roboticist.” This track marks the first release featuring new members Milo Silvestro and Pete Webber.

Bell stated, “I have not heard it. I got no comment… I have a feeling it sounds like Fear Factory. So that’s all I’m gonna say.” His sentiments reflect a definitive shift as he emphasizes his decision to move forward, leaving the past behind.

When questioned about Silvestro’s performance style, Bell remarked, “I’ve never seen any videos [of Fear Factory with Milo]. I don’t watch that stuff. So I have no comment. I really have no interest to.” This detachment underscores Bell’s commitment to his new projects, including his upcoming solo album.

Bell, who was a part of Fear Factory’s last album, “Aggression Continuum,” released in June 2021, has been vocal about the challenges he faced during his time with the band. He officially announced his departure in September 2020, stating he could not align himself with individuals he did not trust.

Currently, Bell is working on his debut solo album and recently announced a special spoken-word event celebrating the 30th anniversary of Fear Factory’s “Obsolete” album, with exclusive shows planned for San Diego, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
