DRAGONFORCE’s Marc Hudson Steps Back; Alessio Garavello to Fill In

In a heartfelt announcement, DRAGONFORCE has revealed that lead singer Marc Hudson is stepping back from his duties due to ongoing issues with tinnitus. This condition has prompted the band to seek a temporary replacement, and they have turned to Alessio Garavello, who has previously filled in for Marc in both 2016 and 2023.

Despite stepping back from performing and recording, Marc will remain involved behind the scenes, collaborating with the band’s management on upcoming projects. DRAGONFORCE’s guitarist Herman Li emphasized the importance of Marc’s health, stating, “Protecting his hearing isn’t something we’d ever ask him to compromise on. We’d much rather have him healthy and with us for the long haul than push through now and risk that.”

Alessio Garavello will support frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz, who joined the band earlier this year. The upcoming DRAGONFORCE album will feature a dual-vocals format, with new songs set to drop soon.

Fans can look forward to DRAGONFORCE’s largest North American tour in over two decades, kicking off on November 13 in San Diego. The tour will include 22 cities and will also feature support from ENSIFERUM and RHAPSODY OF FIRE, marking an exciting new chapter for the band.
