Quiet Riot Welcomes New Lead Singer John Torra

Quiet Riot has officially wrapped up its search for a new frontman, announcing that 23-year-old John Torra will take the helm. Torra, known for his work with New Jersey hair metal band Fire ‘N Ice, impressed the band with his vocal prowess, especially after a viral video of him singing “Metal Health (Bang Your Head)” caught the attention of fans and industry veterans alike.

The band had been on the lookout for a new singer since mid-July, following the departure of Jizzy Pearl, who had been with Quiet Riot intermittently since 2013. Pearl’s final performance was on September 18, marking the end of an era for the band.

Regina Banali, the band’s manager and widow of late drummer Frankie Banali, expressed her excitement about Torra’s addition, stating, “He may be young, but he’s dedicated and professional. He brings a breath of fresh air that lifts us all.” Torra’s first show with Quiet Riot is set for October 1 in Silver Springs, Oklahoma, with a series of dates lined up through November and a South American tour planned for April 2027.
