For the past few years, Roger Waters and David Gilmour have been at an impasse over the release of a long-delayed remastered reissue of Pink Floyd’s 1977 album Animals. Waters has talked about it a number of times in the press, including with Rolling Stone in 2020 when he blamed Gilmour and Nick Mason for the hold up: “Can we release the remastered vinyl of Animals without it turning into the third World War?” he said at the time.
