Lzzy Hale, the powerhouse frontwoman of Halestorm, delivered a stirring speech at the opening of the “Women In Metal: You Will Know My Name” exhibition at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 10. The event celebrates the trailblazing women who have shaped the metal genre.

During her address, Hale emphasized the importance of breaking molds and challenging norms within the music industry. She passionately encouraged young women to embrace their individuality and pursue their musical dreams, stating, “Metal was never built for moulds. It was built for the people who refuse to fit inside them.”

Hale, alongside her bandmate Joe Hottinger, also performed an acoustic set that resonated with the audience. She paid tribute to female icons in metal, highlighting their struggles and triumphs in a genre often dominated by men.

“The story of women in metal is not a side story. It is the story,” Hale declared, urging the next generation of female musicians to take up space and make their voices heard. Her heartfelt message is a reminder that the future of metal belongs to anyone brave enough to create something authentic and powerful.
