Slipknot Unveils 50 New Song Ideas for Upcoming Album

Slipknot is gearing up for an exciting new chapter as they work on their eighth studio album, and guitarist Jim Root has revealed that the band has already penned around 50 song ideas. In a recent podcast interview, Root shared insights into the band’s creative process, emphasizing a return to organic jamming sessions with the newly welcomed drummer, Eloy Casagrande.

The band, now free agents after concluding their deal with Roadrunner Records, is collaborating with veteran producer Matt Wallace, known for his work with Faith No More. Root expressed enthusiasm about the fresh direction of the music, stating, “The new shit we’re writing does not sound like that at all. We’re not de-evolving into that sort of thing.”

Fans can expect a blend of heavy riffs and melodic interludes, as the band aims to create something that feels both familiar and innovative. With their recent 25th anniversary tour behind them, Slipknot is ready to push boundaries and explore new musical territories.
