In an exciting turn of events, Kevin Morby and Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield have welcomed their first child! The news comes shortly after their co-headlining tour kicked off in April, where Crutchfield revealed her pregnancy during a heartfelt performance.

During the tour, she introduced her final song with a touching note, saying, “This is a song about having a baby. This one’s going to hit a little different for me now.” Now that their little one has arrived, it’s safe to say those lyrics will resonate even more deeply.

Morby shared the joyful news on his Instagram, expressing how he returned from his European tour just in time for the birth, stating, “I like to think that the little guy waited for me.” The couple has been enjoying Grouper’s “Heavy Water/I’d Rather Be Sleeping” on repeat as they embrace their new life as parents.

Unfortunately, Morby will have to miss the upcoming Eaux Claires Festival, where he was scheduled to perform alongside Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner. He expressed his disappointment but remains optimistic about future collaborations.
