In a groundbreaking move, Avenged Sevenfold recently unveiled their first-ever live set as STATICA during the kickoff of their co-headlining tour with Good Charlotte. The concert took place on July 25th at the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale, MO, where the band surprised fans with a unique performance format.
Instead of taking the stage, Avenged Sevenfold opted to perform from backstage, broadcasting their set via screens for the audience. This innovative approach showcased tracks from their newly released EP, “STATICA,” which features production by Joe Barresi, known for his work with Tool and Queens Of The Stone Age.
The EP, released without much fanfare on July 23rd, has sparked mixed reactions among fans, with its blend of autotuned vocals and electronic elements. Despite the unconventional performance style, the band closed the night with a traditional set, including the live debut of their collaboration track, “Magic,” from the popular “Call Of Duty” franchise.
Fans can catch Avenged Sevenfold next at the Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, MN on July 27th, as the tour continues across North America.
