Canadian Hospital Hosts Heavy Metal Concert for Patient’s Dream

In a heartwarming gesture, Bruyère Health in Ottawa, ON, recently hosted a heavy metal concert featuring the Canadian power metal band The Scepter. This special event was organized to fulfill the dream of 27-year-old patient Tim Berry, who has faced significant medical challenges that prevented him from attending live shows.

The concert took place in a board room at the hospital, with support from local venue Dominion Tavern, who helped book The Scepter for the occasion. Hospital staff went above and beyond to make the day special for Berry, dressing him in a classic metal shirt and painting his nails to match the vibe.

Not only did Berry enjoy the performance, but several other patients at the facility also had the chance to experience the live music. The Scepter’s guitarist, Josh Collins, described the performance as an emotional moment, stating, “we were happy to have our sunglasses on.” The event brought tears of joy to the hospital staff, with clinical chaplain Roshene Lawson noting how grateful everyone was that Tim got to have this unforgettable experience.
