In a whirlwind of excitement, Lil Uzi Vert made a surprise appearance at Lollapalooza this past Friday, despite missing his own highly anticipated set due to stormy weather. The festival announced on Instagram that, “Due to weather issues, Lil Uzi Vert will no longer be performing,” although some reports mentioned travel complications as well.
Coinciding with his 31st birthday, this was set to be a major performance for the rapper. However, fans were thrilled when he joined Major Lazer on stage to perform his hit track “Just Wanna Rock.” The unexpected collaboration brought the crowd to life and was a highlight of the festival.
In addition to his surprise performance, Lil Uzi Vert celebrated the occasion by dropping a new EP titled Maverick ‘Almost Forever’. This release marks his first project since 2024’s Eternal Atake 2 and coincidentally falls on the tenth anniversary of his acclaimed mixtape, The Perfect LUV Tape.
