The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival will not take place in 2027, marking the second cancellation in three years. The festival, held annually in Manchester, Tennessee, has faced significant challenges due to adverse weather conditions over the past few years.

After two consecutive years of storms that severely impacted the event, organizers have decided to take a break to allow the venue to recover. In their announcement, they highlighted the extensive improvements made to the campgrounds, including enhanced drainage and new roadways, aimed at bolstering the festival’s resilience against Mother Nature.

While the official reason for the cancellation is weather-related, the festival has also seen a decline in attendance since its peak in 2012. The 2026 event drew only 45,000 attendees, a stark contrast to the 80,000 who attended in 2019. With the festival’s reputation at stake, organizers are taking this time to reassess and strategize for future events.
