Friko fans have something to celebrate! The band has just unveiled their latest single, “Necessary,” which is set to further elevate their already impressive discography. Following the success of their album Something Worth Waiting For, which has garnered critical acclaim, this new track is a delightful addition to their sound.

Scheduled for an expanded release on September 11 via ATO Records, “Necessary” was previously featured as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of their latest LP. The band’s Niko Kapetan shared that this song holds a special place in their hearts, being the first new track they performed live as a four-piece. It explores themes of imposter syndrome, making it relatable for many listeners.

In an interview, band member Bailey Minzenberger noted that the song pays tribute to their former touring partner, Water From Your Eyes, highlighting the deep connections that influence their music. With the expanded version of Something Worth Waiting For on the horizon, fans can look forward to more of Friko’s captivating sound.
