Fake Names Unleash New Single ‘Until It’s Normal’ Ahead of Punk Ruins Album

Punk rock supergroup Fake Names is back with a bang, unveiling their latest single, ‘Until It’s Normal,’ the first taste from their upcoming album, Punk Ruins, set to drop on October 23 via Epitaph Records.

The band, featuring a powerhouse lineup of Dennis Lyxzén (Refused), Brian Baker (Minor Threat), Michael Hampton (S.O.A.), Johnny Temple (Girls Against Boys), and new drummer Mario Rubalcaba (Rocket From The Crypt), recorded the album in just five days at the legendary Electrical Audio studio in Chicago.

Brian Baker shared insights into their creative process, revealing that all 12 tracks were completed in a short span, emphasizing the efficiency gained from working remotely. “We recorded 12 songs in five days, and all of them are on the album,” he stated, showcasing the band’s commitment to their craft.

In addition to the new music, Fake Names has announced a series of European shows for early 2027, kicking off on January 26 in Umeå, Sweden. Fans can expect an energetic live experience as they tour through major cities including Paris, Berlin, and London.
