In a heartfelt conversation on the We Need to Talk podcast, Kelly Osbourne opened up about her journey toward sobriety following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne. Reflecting on her struggles with grief and mental health, Kelly shared, “Losing my father taught me that there is such an honor in grief because I loved so deeply. I was a shell of myself, unable to care for myself in any way.”

After hitting rock bottom and returning to drinking, Kelly has now embraced a healthier lifestyle, proudly announcing that she is eight months sober. She emphasized the importance of surrounding herself with supportive people, saying, “I closed my circle, because I lost a lot of friends who couldn’t handle my sadness.” Her journey has not been easy, but she is determined to honor her father’s legacy while finding her own identity.

Kelly also addressed the backlash she faced during her appearance at the BRIT Awards, where she accepted a lifetime achievement award for Ozzy. “People couldn’t see past my struggles and chose to criticize instead of empathize,” she lamented. Despite the challenges, she remains focused on her personal growth, stating, “I’m good enough on my own. I can do it on my own.” Kelly’s candidness about her experiences serves as a powerful reminder of resilience in the face of adversity.
