In a significant shift for the power metal legends DragonForce, vocalist Marc Hudson is stepping back from his role due to ongoing tinnitus issues. This decision will impact the band’s upcoming album and their touring plans for 2026 and 2027.
Taking the reins in Hudson’s absence is Alessio Garavello, a familiar face who has served as Hudson’s vocal coach in the past. Garavello will join Alissa White-Gluz, who recently became a co-vocalist for the band. DragonForce expressed their support for Hudson, emphasizing the importance of his health over any performance obligations.
“We’d much rather have him healthy and with us for the long haul than push through now and risk that,” said guitarist Herman Li. The band is excited about the new dual-vocals format and believes Garavello will bring a fresh energy to their upcoming material.
