Lifeson expressed how he overcame his initial fears regarding his health and performance, stating, “I’ve just fallen totally in love with it.” He highlighted the joy of playing alongside Anika Nilles, a talented drummer who has brought a fresh dynamic to the band. The chemistry between Lifeson and Nilles has blossomed over their two years of collaboration, making the experience even more rewarding.

Geddy Lee chimed in, reflecting on the emotional weight of performing without Peart. He emphasized the importance of keeping Peart’s memory alive through their music and storytelling during shows. The band is currently on their “Fifty Something” tour, which kicked off on June 7 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, featuring a revamped lineup and a diverse setlist drawn from their extensive catalog.
