The saga of Pink Floyd continues to captivate rock fans as the battle between Roger Waters and David Gilmour rages on. Since Waters’ departure from the band in 1985, the struggle over the band’s identity and legacy has been nothing short of titanic.
Waters, who was a driving force behind the band’s success, believed that Pink Floyd could not survive without him. He famously stated, “I’ve spent 20 years of my life building a career. I don’t see why I should have to give that up just because one guy says he doesn’t want to do it any more.” Gilmour, however, took a different stance, asserting that no single member had the right to dissolve the band.
