Jess Holland Departs Solstice to Focus on Teaching Career

In a heartfelt announcement, Jess Holland, the lead vocalist of UK prog band Solstice, has decided to part ways with the group to dedicate more time to her teaching career and personal life. Holland has been with Solstice since the release of their 2020 album, Sia, and her contributions have been pivotal in shaping the band’s recent success.

Reflecting on her time with Solstice, Holland shared, “I’ve had the time of my life working with Andy and the band over the past seven years. Solstice is like a family to which I feel I will always belong.” She expressed gratitude for the memories and friendships forged during her tenure.

As Holland prepares for her final performances, the band will continue their summer and autumn tour, culminating in their annual hometown show at the Stables in Milton Keynes on October 31. This will be her last chance to celebrate with fans before she embarks on a new chapter in her life.

Guitarist Andy Glass praised Holland’s unique vocal talents and the impact she has had on the band, stating, “We will all miss her hugely, yet we now move forward to a new chapter full of optimism.” Fans can look forward to the release of Solstice’s ninth studio album and a new tour in 2027.
