The Beach Boys have announced an unexpected break from their U.S. concert tour, canceling nearly 30 shows scheduled for July and August. The iconic band stated they are taking this time to recharge, with plans to return to the stage on September 2 in Winter Park, Colorado.
While no specific reasons were provided for the cancellations, longtime collaborator Dean Torrence revealed that frontman Mike Love has been facing health challenges. Torrence noted, “He’s struggling now. He’s not well, and he’s struggling,” emphasizing Love’s commitment to performing despite his difficulties.
The canceled shows included a highly anticipated concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, which is now off the calendar. Fans are encouraged to stay positive, as the band reassured them, “To keep the good vibrations going strong, we’ll be taking a short break to recharge before getting back on the road in September.” The Beach Boys look forward to a “September to Remember” with their loyal fans.
