As the band launched into their iconic track, “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You),” a replica Civil War-era cannon unexpectedly malfunctioned, sending a projectile crashing down just inches from where Johnson was performing.
Despite the shocking incident, Johnson quickly regained his composure and continued to rock the stage, showcasing his resilience and dedication to the performance. Fans captured the moment on video, highlighting the unexpected dangers that come with such explosive stage antics.
Johnson has previously acknowledged the risks associated with using cannons during live shows, humorously noting, “I could write a book about standing under the cannon for 30 years.” Fortunately, he walked away unscathed this time.
