Mastodon has just dropped an eye-catching animated music video for their latest single, “In The Ruins.” This track serves as the third single from their upcoming album, “Marrow Deep,” set to release on August 28th through Loma Vista.

The video, directed by Hey Beautiful Jerk, brings a unique vision to life, inspired by the band’s recent personal losses. The director shared that the concept came to him during a challenging time in the ER, which fueled his creativity and led to the striking visuals we see today.

This release marks a significant moment for the band, as it is their first album without the late guitarist and vocalist Brent Hinds. It also features the collaborative efforts of guitarist Nick Johnston and keyboardist João Nogueira, making it a noteworthy addition to their discography.
