In a recent chat with Kati Rausch from Music Interview Corner, heavy metal icon Doro Pesch shared insights from her impressive four-and-a-half-decade career. Reflecting on her journey, Doro expressed her desire to revisit moments from her past performances, particularly in intimate club settings where she connected deeply with fans.

“I always wanted to make people happy,” she said, reminiscing about the early days when stage diving was the norm and security was minimal. Doro highlighted the profound impact of being a fan herself, recalling a moment at a Ronnie James Dio concert that left her in awe.

When asked if heavy metal contributes to her youthful energy, Doro enthusiastically affirmed, “Oh, yeah, totally!” She emphasized the importance of doing what you love and shared her journey towards a healthier lifestyle, including adopting a vegan diet and quitting smoking. “I think I’m more healthy now than I was in the ’80s,” she noted.

Looking ahead, Doro is working on a new EP titled Wild At Heart, expected to drop in late 2026. Fans can also look forward to her recent release, Warriors Of The Sea, which showcases her dedication to the metal scene and her fans.
