In a surprising turn of events, Abbath’s performance at the SaariHelvetti Festival in Tampere, Finland, was abruptly halted during the opening song, “To War!” on August 14th. Frontman Abbath Doom Occulta shocked fans by tossing his guitar and storming off the stage, leaving the audience in disbelief.
Unlike his bandmates, who maintained their iconic black metal looks, Abbath appeared without his traditional corpse paint and attire, raising eyebrows among fans. Following the incident, drummer Ukri Suvilehto addressed the crowd, revealing that Abbath has been grappling with health problems. He expressed regret for the interruption, stating, “We have done everything we can.”
