Tarja Turunen, the symphonic prog metal queen from Finland, is back with her latest album, Frisson Noir, showcasing a decade of artistic evolution. This release marks a bold departure into diverse musical territories, blending elements of tango, flamenco, and Japanese folk.

Teaming up with notable artists like Dani Filth, Chad Smith, and Marko Hietala, Turunen is excited about the heavy results of this unique collaboration. “I want to bring back the riffs,” she declares, and with Frisson Noir, she certainly delivers.
