Tom Morello is gearing up for an exciting chapter in his career with the release of his first-ever solo rock album, Everyone Gets Everything They Want. In a recent interview on Loudwire Nights, Morello shared his enthusiasm for this project, describing it as a significant milestone that feels reminiscent of his early days with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave.

The album features the powerful single “Date Night,” which tells the inspiring story of three Dutch teenage girls who bravely resisted Nazi occupation during World War II. Morello expressed his desire to honor their legacy through music, stating, “I’m going to write the song and put it out as a single.” The track showcases a riff contributed by his son, Roman, highlighting the familial connection in Morello’s creative process.

In addition to his album, Morello is also set to host the Power to the People Festival on October 3 in the Washington, D.C. area. This event aims to celebrate unity and resistance through rock and hip-hop, creating a joyful atmosphere amidst challenging times. Morello’s passion for music and activism shines through as he prepares for this monumental festival.
