Sammy Hagar Responds to Alex Van Halen’s Comment

In a recent twist in their ongoing feud, Sammy Hagar has addressed Alex Van Halen’s disparaging remark, calling him a ‘complete idiot.’ This comment came during an interview with the Brazilian magazine Roadie Crew, where Alex expressed his disinterest in Hagar’s autobiography, Red: My Uncensored Life In Rock.

Hagar, known as the Red Rocker, took to Instagram to share his thoughts on Alex’s comment, stating, ‘This comment and post is so unnecessary at this time in our lives, but I guess the truth hurts sometimes. Peace already.’

The tension between the former bandmates has been brewing since the release of Hagar’s book, which included details about Eddie Van Halen’s struggles with alcoholism. Hagar has previously expressed a desire to mend fences, emphasizing that he doesn’t want to carry this feud to the grave.

Despite his olive branch efforts, including inviting Alex to join him on his Best of All Worlds tour, the drummer has yet to respond positively. Hagar believes that Alex is not honoring Eddie’s musical legacy by ignoring their collaborative work during the Van Halen years.
