In an unexpected turn, Forbidden has revealed that drummer Chris Kontos and bassist Matt Camacho will not be joining the band for their upcoming fall tour, which kicks off on October 23rd in Las Vegas. This tour supports their highly anticipated self-titled album, set to drop the same day.
The band shared a heartfelt statement on September 18th, asking fans to respect the privacy of Kontos and Camacho as they address personal matters. However, both musicians are expected to return for future tours in 2027, contributing to the band’s legacy.
In their absence, Forbidden has enlisted Eli Lucas and Avery Thurman as temporary replacements. Lucas, a familiar face from a previous audition, has established himself as one of the Bay Area’s top drummers. Thurman, a 21-year-old prodigy from Blind Illusion, is known for his electrifying stage presence and impressive technique.
Fans can look forward to a dynamic setlist featuring 18 songs from the band’s extensive catalog. The tour will also feature support from Heathen and Void, making it a must-see for rock enthusiasts.
