Deady Unleashes High-Octane Energy with ‘Hunka Junk’

Louisville’s own Deady is back and ready to rock with their explosive new album, Hunka Junk, which dropped on streaming platforms on September 18th and will be available on vinyl starting September 26th via Romanus Records. This five-piece band is known for their dynamic blend of garage rock, punk, and pop rock, and they’re aiming to deliver an electrifying experience straight to your ears.

With tracks like the adrenaline-pumping opener “Systematic Slaughter,” Deady sets the tone for an album that is as intense as it is eclectic. The band seamlessly transitions between genres, showcasing their versatility with songs like “Spinning Rooms,” which channels a post-hardcore vibe reminiscent of Title Fight.

Lead singer Mandy Keathley, along with guitarist Chyppe Crosby, bassist Clayton Ray, and drummer KJ Bechtloff, crafts a sound that is both chaotic and captivating. The album also features a moment of introspection with “Goodnight Bitch,” offering a rare acoustic break that highlights their lyrical depth.

Having shared stages with acts like FEAR and Lightning Bolt, Deady’s live performances are a whirlwind of energy, and their latest release promises to keep that momentum going. With Hunka Junk, Deady is set to solidify their place in the rock scene, and fans can expect nothing short of a wild ride.
