Pär Sundström, the bassist and manager of SABATON, recently shared insights during an interview on TotalRock’s “Louder” radio show. He addressed the band’s unique focus on historical battles and heroism, emphasizing that their music is not a celebration of war, but rather a reflection on history.

Sundström noted that while some listeners may misinterpret the band’s message, SABATON aims to educate and provoke thought about the past. He explained, “There are some people in this world who don’t understand SABATON. They think we approve of war, but it’s quite the opposite. We sing about history to learn from it, not to glorify it.”

The band is gearing up for their second leg of “The Legendary Tour” in 2027, following a successful run that attracted over 260,000 fans across Europe. SABATON’s North American tour is also set to kick off on September 23, 2026, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, wrapping up on December 12 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

With their latest album, “Legends,” SABATON continues to blend rock with storytelling, diving into the lives of historical figures. The album is available in various formats, showcasing their commitment to both music and history.
