FOREIGNER’s Jeff Pilson Teases Exciting New Music Developments

In a recent interview with Darren Burgfeld on Missouri’s 93.9 Mike FM, FOREIGNER bassist Jeff Pilson revealed that the band is hard at work on multiple batches of new music. Pilson confirmed, “Yes, to answer your question. And there’s different batches of it.” He emphasized the high standards the band is maintaining as they create brand new songs from scratch.

Additionally, Pilson mentioned that they are revisiting unfinished tracks written by founding guitarist Mick Jones and original singer Lou Gramm. He shared an exciting example of this process, highlighting the recently completed song “Fool If You Love Him,” which features contributions from Lou Gramm.

Fans can also look forward to re-releases of classic albums like 1979’s ‘Head Games’ this October, which will include newly finished tracks. Pilson noted that they are even collaborating with legendary guitarist Peter Frampton on a previously incomplete song titled “Trouble.” This blend of new and ‘new old’ material is sure to keep FOREIGNER’s legacy alive.

As the band navigates the music landscape, Pilson stressed the importance of quality over quantity, stating, “It’s a different world now… we wanna do it right.” With their current lineup, including lead vocalist Luis Carlos Maldonado, FOREIGNER continues to prove why they are one of rock’s most enduring acts.
