In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker opened up about a memorable—and challenging—experience he had with Cypress Hill. Reflecting on a show that took place during a tour featuring Blink-182, No Doubt, and Cypress Hill, Barker described how smoking before the performance turned into a struggle.

Barker shared that while he usually prefers to keep his pre-show routine clear of substances, he was persuaded by his friends in Cypress Hill to indulge before their last show together. “Dude, let me tell you, it was the longest show. The songs felt like they lasted forever,” he recounted. Barker explained that while his body was performing, his mind felt disconnected, leading to an overwhelming sense of discomfort.

His bandmate Tom DeLonge even expressed his own distress during the set, saying, ‘I want to go home.’ Barker humorously noted that smoking before shows is definitely not his thing, labeling the experience as ‘torture.’
