Phil Collins, the legendary former Genesis frontman, has opened up about the potential for new music in a recent interview with Prog. After a long hiatus of 16 years since his last album, Collins is considering returning to the studio.
Reflecting on his recent health battles, including severe nerve damage and alcohol addiction, Collins shared, “I’m never gonna say no now.” He mentioned having unfinished projects that could see the light of day. “I’ve got my little studio still, and I’d like to get down there and just mess about and see what happens,” he added.
Collins, who faced life-threatening health issues in 2024, has made significant strides in his recovery. He revealed he has been sober for three years and is feeling physically better than ever. “All is good!” he stated confidently.
As fans eagerly await any new material from the iconic artist, Collins’s debut solo album, Face Value, is set for a reissue on September 8, marking its 45th anniversary with an expanded 4-LP edition.
