On a beautiful sunny summer day at Yee-Haw Brewing in Nashville, country star Walker Hayes brought together dog lovers and their furry friends for a special event celebrating National Dog Day, which was on August 26th. In partnership with Canidae Pet Food, Hayes introduced his new anthem, “Love Is A Four-Legged Word,” a playful tribute to the bond between humans and their canine companions.

The event featured dogs in adorable outfits, from cowboy hats to bandanas, creating a festive atmosphere. As part of Canidae’s launch of their Heartland dog food line, which focuses on farm-raised nutrition and supports the American Red Cross, Hayes performed several songs, including his hit “Fancy Like,” while sharing personal stories behind his music.

Hayes also revealed plans for an animated show inspired by his late dog, Skeeter, who played a significant role in his life. “Skeeter was my favorite dog that I’ve had,” he shared, reminiscing about their time together during pivotal moments in his life.

With a focus on family, pets, and creativity, Hayes is currently taking a break from touring to develop new songs and his animated project, all while cherishing moments with his dogs.
