Beach House Covers Robert Lester Folsom for 50th Anniversary Edition

Beach House is bringing a fresh twist to the classic sounds of Robert Lester Folsom with their cover of “April Suzanne.” This track is part of the upcoming 50th Anniversary Edition of Folsom’s cult favorite album, Music And Dreams, which originally released in 1976.

Folsom’s work gained renewed attention after it was reissued by Mexican Summer’s Anthology Recordings in 2010, and now fans can look forward to a remastered version along with a treasure trove of demos and new covers. Beach House, known for their ethereal sound, has expressed their excitement about contributing to this special project, stating, “We love so many Robert Lester Folsom songs and are very pleased to be included on the 50th anniversary edition of Music And Dreams.” Their rendition of “April Suzanne” promises to take listeners to otherworldly places.

The 50th Anniversary Edition will be available on October 16, 2026, and will feature a total of 23 tracks, including both remastered and demo versions of Folsom’s songs, alongside Beach House and Hannah Cohen’s covers.

Folsom will also embark on a tour to support this release, kicking off on October 5 in Atlanta, GA. This is a must-see event for fans of indie and rock music!
