Gorguts Teases New Album with Classic Elements and Fresh Sounds

Colin Marston, known for his work with Gorguts and Krallice, recently shared exciting insights about the long-awaited new album from Gorguts during an interview on the ‘Mostly Yelling’ podcast. Fans have been eagerly anticipating this release since the band’s last full-length, Colored Sands, dropped in 2013.

Marston revealed that while the new album won’t deliver the groundbreaking shock of Obscura, it does incorporate elements from all of Gorguts’ previous works. He emphasized that the album has its own unique sound, blending aspects from Considered Dead, Erosion, and Obscura in a cohesive manner.

One of the standout features of the new record is the inclusion of analog synths, a first for Gorguts. Marston noted that while synths won’t dominate the album, they play a significant role in most tracks, adding an intriguing layer to their signature death metal sound.

Fans can expect a more aggressive approach this time around, with faster tempos and a return to the band’s thrash roots. Marston expressed that this album feels like the one they should have released over a decade ago, but its delayed arrival might just amplify its impact.
