In a heartfelt announcement, Ganon Jones Jr., who faced off against the late Andy Williams during his final wrestling match, has decided to step away from the ring. This decision comes after a deeply emotional experience that left a lasting impact on him and his family.

Williams, known for his time as ‘The Butcher’ in Every Time I Die, tragically passed away on September 5 following a medical incident during a match in Millvale, Pennsylvania. Jones shared on Instagram that the memory of that night continues to haunt him, especially after witnessing his young daughter’s reaction to the events.

“It scared her more than anything I can remember,” Jones expressed. His daughter’s heartfelt message, urging him to stop wrestling, was a wake-up call that he couldn’t ignore. “I cannot, in good conscience, leave the house to be The All Star when I have a little girl at home wondering if I’ll ever come back,” he stated.

The wrestling community has rallied around Williams, with a tribute show held by AEW on September 12. A public ‘celebration of life’ for Williams is scheduled for September 27 in Buffalo, NY, featuring acoustic performances from various musicians. This event is a testament to the profound impact Williams had on both wrestling and music.
