Dave Grohl Rocks Out with AC/DC at MetLife Stadium

In an electrifying moment for rock fans, Dave Grohl took the stage with AC/DC at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on October 2, 2026. The Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer joined the legendary band for a rousing performance of their classic hit, “Highway To Hell.”

Grohl, who had already performed a support set with the Foo Fighters earlier in the night, was welcomed by AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson, who playfully noted, “A very good friend of ours asked us tonight if he could come and join us up on stage for Highway To Hell. And we said, ‘yes, Dave, you can.'” The crowd erupted in cheers as Grohl stepped up to the mic, showcasing his guitar skills and adding powerful backing vocals.

This surprise collaboration is a testament to Grohl’s deep admiration for AC/DC, a band he credits with shaping his musical journey. Just last month, he expressed how their timeless anthems have influenced his approach to music, stating, “All I have ever wanted was to someday live up to the awe-inspiring fury of AC/DC, live onstage – an impossible task, by the way.”

The performance was a highlight of the night, leaving fans buzzing with excitement and solidifying Grohl’s status as a rock legend in his own right.
