Slipknot’s Jim Root Addresses Controversy Over Marilyn Manson Tour

Slipknot’s guitarist Jim Root has recently responded to the backlash surrounding the band’s decision to take Marilyn Manson on tour. As the band gears up for their 2027 UK and South America tour, Root emphasized that he focuses on his craft rather than the logistics of touring.

In a candid statement, Root said, “I concentrate on writing and being a guitarist,” distancing himself from the decision-making process regarding support acts. This comes in light of the controversy surrounding Manson, who has faced multiple allegations of misconduct, which he denies.

Despite the criticism, Root remains unfazed, asserting that true fans will continue to support Slipknot. The tour kicks off with a significant show at Wembley Stadium on July 3, 2027, featuring Manson alongside Lorna Shore and Hatebreed.

As the band works on their upcoming eighth album, Root hinted at a raw, honest vibe reminiscent of their earlier works. With excitement building around the new music, fans can expect a powerful return from Slipknot.
