Bob Dylan Welcomes J. Jad Tariq as New Guitarist in Cincinnati

In an unexpected twist, Bob Dylan’s band introduced another surprise guitarist during their recent performance in Cincinnati, Ohio. Memphis-based rhythm and blues guitarist J. Jad Tariq took the stage at PNC Pavilion on July 10, stepping in for Julian Lage, who is currently occupied with European tour commitments.
Tariq, known for his work with Charlie Musselwhite, brought fresh energy to Dylan’s lineup, following the recent addition of Chicago jazz and blues musician Joel Patterson, who filled in for Doug Lancio. This ever-evolving ensemble keeps fans on their toes, showcasing Dylan’s commitment to musical exploration.
As Dylan continues his tour, the excitement builds for the next stop in Pittsburgh, PA, at Stage AE. With each concert, audiences can expect to see new talent and hear classic hits reimagined.
